About this listen
An epic tale of evil and rescue, betrayal and love, and a terrorist threat unlike anything the human race has ever known.
Ted Dekker’s best-selling and most beloved series - together in one volume.
It's the story of a man named Thomas Hunter, an unlikely hero who finds himself pulled between two worlds. In our reality, he works in a coffee house. In the other, he becomes a battle-scarred general leading a band of followers known as the Circle. Every time he falls asleep in one reality, he wakes in the other. The fate of both worlds now rests on his ability to shift realities through his dreams - and somehow, find a way to change history.
Four novels. Two worlds. One story.
Praise for the Circle series:
“Put simply: it’s a brilliant, dangerous idea. And we need more dangerous ideas.... Dekker’s trilogy is a mythical epic, with a vast, predetermined plot and a scope of staggering proportions.... Black is one of those books that will make you thankful that you know how to read. If you love a good story, and don’t mind suspending a little healthy disbelief, Black will keep you utterly enthralled from beginning to...well, cliffhanger. Red can’t get here fast enough.” (FuseMagazine.net)
“As a producer of movies filled with incredible worlds and heroic characters, I have high standards for the fiction I read. Ted Dekker’s novels deliver big with mind-blowing, plot-twisting page-turners. Fair warning - this trilogy will draw you in at a breakneck pace and never let up. Cancel all plans before you start because you won’t be able to stop once you enter Black.” (Ralph Winter, producer - X-Men, X2: X-Men United, Planet of the Apes, executive producer - StarTrek V: Final Frontier)
“Black has to be the read of the year! A powerful, thought-provoking, edge-of-your-seat thriller of epic proportions that offers great depth and insight into the forces around us.” (Joe Goodman, film producer, Namesake Entertainment)

Story
When a stranger named Marsuvees Black appears in Paradise, he brings with him a message of hope and love. Or is it death and hate? Perhaps neither - perhaps both. He seems to know too much about the town's many unspoken secrets, and he himself holds the greatest secret of them all. As black clouds and sandstorms envelop the town, it becomes almost impossible to get in or out. It quicky becomes apparent that Paradise is being isolated for a reason. But why?

Story
For years, Christians have been asking, "If you died tonight, do you know where you would go?" It turns out that many believers have been giving the wrong answer. It is not heaven. Wright outlines the present confusion about a Christian's future hope and shows how it is deeply intertwined with how we live today. Wright asserts that Christianity's most distinctive idea is bodily resurrection, and provides a magisterial defense for a literal resurrection of Jesus. Wright then explores our expectation of "new heavens and a new earth".

Story
Stephen Friedman is just inches away from everything he could ever desire. It's Los Angeles in the early 70s, and Friedman is living the groovy southern California life of a real-estate wheeler dealer. He's making money hand-over-fist and has long given up hope of finding the family he's lost in worn-torn Poland. But when a deceased woman's papers reveal that she possessed a priceless religious relic, and that she may have been his mother, Stephen becomes hungry for answers. A hunger that may kill him.

Story
The story of how I, Julian Carter, and my precious two-year old son, Stephen, left Atlanta Georgia and found ourselves on a white sailboat, tossed about like a cork on a raging sea off of Australia's northern tip in 1963, is harrowing. But it pales in comparison to what happened deep in the jungle where I was taken as a slave by a savage tribe unknown to the world. Some places dwell in darkness so deep that even God seems to stay away.

Story
The sleepy, eastern Washington wheat town of Antioch has become a gateway for the supernatural - from sightings of angels and a weeping crucifix to a self-proclaimed prophet with an astounding message. The national media and the curious all flock to the little town - a great boon for local business but not for Travis Jordan.

Great books, Audiobook Series in wrong order!!!
Audible starts the series with "Green", but that one should actually be listened to last. It makes a lot more sense that way.

Very good overall, a few complaints
First of all, they start with Green, which should actually be the last book; order should go Red, Black, White then Green.
They have these really annoying sound tracks that play in between each chapter; totally unnecessary.
While I loved this series growing up, now that I'm an adult I definitely pick up on a few plot holes and just generally how conveniently everything seems to happen. Still a good story but I wouldn't have picked it up if it wasn't 4 books in 1 to be honest.

What an analogy in this particular book (White) of Jesus love for us, His Bride!
This series has really increased my realization of how real and personal is God”s love for me, His Bride. He rejoices over me with singing, the Bible says! White, the book, really shows this well! Can’t wait to see Him and know Him even as I am known, as the Bible says!

Good story
I read these books a few years ago and the stories were great, as is listening to them.
However the narrator is not very good. He changes pronunciation of names many times throughout and his intonation of character conversations is very poor when considering the context of conversations in the story.
