Disappointing ending
Overall the storyline was good and well narrated. Lots of twists and turns, especially in the last half.
The ending was disappointing though. It felt a little like the author just wanted to finish the darn thing and get it over with.

Excellent Crime story
I really enjoyed the crime fiction from the point of view of the Coroner. I found the story fast paced and while it started off slowly it was racing like a freight train to the surprising end.

Surprised me

Men writing women, but not all bad
The story is pretty good and the lead character's instability makes sense, but then there are random things thrown in that betray the writer is a man - using her cleavage to swap officials, as well how women over 50 are portrayed. Will read the next book, hoping the character levels out.

Could not put it Down
This was one of the single bestest books I’ve ever read (maybe a little less pill popping😳). The intrigue, the suspense - I was literally standing at the kitchen counter, staring silently through the window into space totally absorbed by the characters and the plot.
A fabulous read, thank you and I I certainly am looking forward to reading more from this writer ❣️

Enjoyable
Well read, gets much better as it progresses, somewhat humorous in her medication usage if one knows anything about medications but that aside became a fun and compelling story.

This book and author are awesome , had me sitting on the edge of my seat,could hardly turn it off. I totally enjoyed it. I am going to look for other books by this author.

definitely written by a man.
quite a lot of homophobia, misogyny, and fat phobia. unrealistic portrayal of main character. Clearly a man's version of what a female coroner would be like. its too bad, because the idea of enjoying the book series was appealing.

First time I have read this author and I found it well paced and suspenseful. Looking forward to the next one. Excellent narration as well.
