Edward Gardiner has just been refused by the lovely young woman he had intended to make his wife. Gardiner's pleasure tour is interrupted, however, when his eldest niece falls ill and is unable to travel farther.

Stopping over in the scarcely remarkable village of Lambton, the men decide that Bennet must continue on, while Gardiner and the children remain. The only trouble is that Gardiner has not the least idea how he should care for one ailing niece and another who is ready to drive him to distraction...until he meets with Madeline Fairbanks.

Love the Gardiners....

What a great story and a great performance. I love how the intertwining of all the other characters into their story, how Edward Gardiner found the love of his life, how humble beginnings brought great love and a great life together. I especially like the early meetings of Darcy & Lizzy and Charles & Jane. I liked the character of George Darcy. The beginnings with George W, Lady Catherine and Anne DeBourgh. A bit of the future, shown from the past. Thanks Nicole for a great story and Stevie for your narration. Char M

Lovely prequel

I love all variations of Pride and Prejudice but this one is more true to the original and narrated by Stevie Zimmerman. I would listen to anything Stevie narrates. This is going on my favourites lists.
