About this listen

Two women. An office filled with secrets. One terrible crime that can't be taken back.

Dawn Schiff is strange.

At least, everyone thinks so at Vixed, the nutritional supplement company where Dawn works as an accountant. She never says the right thing. She has no friends. And she is always at her desk at precisely 8:45 a.m.

So when Dawn doesn't show up to the office one morning, her coworker Natalie Farrell―beautiful, popular, top sales rep five years running―is surprised. Then she receives an unsettling, anonymous phone call that changes everything…

It turns out Dawn wasn't just an awkward outsider―she was being targeted by someone close. And now Natalie is irrevocably tied to Dawn as she finds herself caught in a twisted game of cat and mouse that leaves her wondering: who's the real victim? But one thing is incredibly clear: somebody hated Dawn Schiff.

Enough to kill.

The Coworker is a tense, captivating thriller from New York Times bestselling author Freida McFadden that explores the dark ways the past can echo through the present―with deadly consequences.

Mindless fun little mystery

I have read all of Freida’s books. They are not Tolstoy of course, but they are fun, easy to read whodunits. Her characters are entertaining, their predicaments amusing and the twists and turns numerous. You have to suspend belief and just enjoy the ride. I do prefer meatier books of course, but Freida always has me smiling and I never consider it a waste of time to read anything she writes.
Great narration by the way. Alyson Krawchuk is 1 of my favourite narrators.

Love Freida’s books!

Have read all of Freida’s books and was waiting all summer to listen to this one!

One of the main characters was obsessed with turtles so it was odd to listen to so many references to turtles and turtle facts. However, it was a great job by the author to portray this character as very odd.

Loved the twists at the end!

First Freida Book

This is my first book by this author and on audible. I wasn’t sure what to expect and it does take a little bit to get into the story line but if you push through the first bit it does get more interesting and engaging.

The Coworker

Frida McFadden is one of my favourite authors. I always enjoy the twists she uses in her stories. One of the main characters in this book is obsessed with turtles which seems odd. The character reminded me of a person with autism.
I personally enjoyed this book and wanted to find out the ending.

NOT Her Normal Quality of Writing!

Have listened to a great number of her books all well written! This one is the worst book I have listened to this year, not well written, poorly read, not worth the credit used to buy it.

Disappointed

I was very excited to read this book as I love Frieda McFadden. The story was odd and too out of this world with the whole turtle thing. Some good elements, but overall I was disappointed.

Not the best

I found the robotic repeat of emails frustrating and the story line gets a bit ridiculous even once it's figured out. Just not as engaging as the Boyfriend or Housemaid Series. feels poorly pit together to grab at another book. lacks depth.
