Best so far of the Gamache series

It started a bit slow but I appreciated the twisting plot, the increase in pressure. This is a classic whodunnit with a side dish of police drama.

Nearenemy

A great read (or listen) as are all of Louise Penny's books. Every book brings us another little piece of understanding... of the man and of the quaint little world than is Three Pines.

Riveting mystery keeps you guessing.

From beginning to the end, there were so many plausible suspects. It keeps you guessing until the end.

Another great story by Louise Penny!

I thoroughly enjoyed this, the third book of the series, as much as the first two! I highly recommend this series to readers/listeners who enjoy a good mystery with great characters and vividly described emotions. You don’t have to read them in order-I’ve read a few out of order and still find no break in sequences.
Louise Penny is a Canadian treasure! Adam Sims narrates well and has a range of character voices that become well known. I really love this book/series. I look forward to hearing the next!

Classic Mystery with Dual Plot

I found myself emotionally drawn into this story. By now I feel attached to the characters but the revelation and betrayal of this storyline had me triggered. Once again a well played out narration with clear understanding of character and personality. Louise Penny has this amazing ability to describe locations and scenes without over indulging in details allowing the readers imagination to fill in with their own perceptions. I am hooked on this series but to fully understand the continued turmoil that Gamache is facing best start with book 1 you wont be disappointed.
