About this listen
To touch a Dark One is death. To talk to an immortal is suicide. Yet, I've been marked by both.
A Vampire. And the King of the immortals. My life is no longer my own. And now I know the truth, my life was never mine to begin with. It was theirs.
It's always been theirs.
Contains mature themes.

Love this story! Spicy and Romantic
I also really love the idea of being “marked” it serves as a great plot device to keep the story going. Really wish I could listen to more about Ethan & Genesis

Narrative was awesome! Done well! Story? Hmm…
In my opinion…. The dual POV’s is wonderful! However!!!!! Each chapter that switches characters the opposite character’s character changes. I hope that makes sense.
Ethan is bitter in the eyes of Genesis and is portrayed as much, totally understanding with his back ground blah blah blah but then the chapter switches to Ethan and he is and acts like a love sick puppy and flirts and nibbles and licks… like woah 180. It’s almost like there are two Ethan’s being portrayed in this book. And same for Genesis. She’s all quiet and “blushing” but then she’s bold and a woman that pushes boundaries. Then it’s stated that her blood is changing and with a vampire rage and such that’s why she’s getting bolder but the chapters make it like a switch being turned on and off. When it’s her POV she meek and timid but when it’s Ethan’s POV again bold and growly comes into play. It’s like emotional whip lash.
I think the writing could have been a bit better. Transitioned a bit better.
I’m not done reading yet, so maybe the last several chapters will redeem the beginning but I don’t really know…

The narrators voices grated on my nerves. It took multiple attempts to get into it, let alone finish it.
Absolutely hated the narrators and their characters voices. I stopped listening a few times because it grated on my nerves so badly.
