Haunting mystery

I found the main female protagonist to be a tad insufferable. The performances were all very good so perhaps it was just how she was written. for a book that has a theme of women overcoming the oppression of man she came off dimwitted, reckless and needlessly defiant for the first half of the book. Still a good mystery storyline and a recommended listen.

Very dark and disturbing at times

I did enjoy listening to this book and it was the first time I had a listen to an audible that had individual characters reading the story. I enjoyed that aspect. The story it’s self was quite different from when I used to
and very dark and disturbing at times but overall I am happy that I have listened to ‘The Dark Water Bride’
