About this listen

She's about to make a deal with the college bad boy....

Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she's carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush's attention, she'll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice, even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.

...And it's going to be oh so good.

All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he's worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he's all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn't take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn't going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.

Love this book

I loved this book so much!! My favourite one from Elle Kennedy so far! But the woman’s voice was so distracting. She sounds like she’s a 60 year old woman. Not the right voice for this book! The mans voice was perfect!

Male Narrator Saves It

I read this book first, and I was excited to listen to a duet narration. I should have sampled it first. The female narrator is terrible. Why her? She sounds nothing like how I imagined Hannah, and honestly, she sounds nothing like a 20-year-old college student. She sounds like a 50-year-old kindergarten teacher. The narration is monotone and some of her line deliveries are so unnatural and awkward. Also she made Allie sound like a bimbo. Frustrating to say the least. The male narrator, on the other hand, is fantastic. One of the best I’ve heard, and I found myself wishing he was narrating the whole book. I sped through the Hannah chapters so I could get to his chapters. I definitely won’t be downloading the other Briar U books if the female narrator is doing them. Super disappointing.

I tough that this book was so sweet that subconsciously i guess I manifested a hockey player, they're really terrible people, I really recommend anyone to fall in love with them.

Good story

it's a great book and story. the female narrator is not great, her monotone voice didn't match how Hannah sounds in my head so it was a bit grating. the male narrator is fantastic though. but the plot is fun, romantic and a good read.

Great story

Loved this story when I read it so had to get the audio, however, the female narrator is meh. I had to listen at 1.2x because I found her too slow and felt overall it was just off for the character. The male narrator did a good job and made it worth listening to.

A Delightful Slow Burn Romance with Heart

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥

I recently delved into "The Deal" by Elle Kennedy for the second time, this time opting for the audiobook experience narrated by Christian Fox and Lorelei Avalon. Having stumbled upon this gem on TikTok and being a fan of slow burn contemporary romances, I couldn't resist revisiting this captivating story before diving into the rest of the Off-Campus series.

First and foremost, let me highlight that Garrett, the male protagonist, embodies the perfect blend of a boyfriend and best friend. His character is so well-crafted that even after a second read, I found myself falling for him all over again.

The chemistry between Hannah and Garrett is palpable, and their journey from a fake relationship to genuine feelings is beautifully portrayed. Elle Kennedy skillfully weaves in moments of humor, vulnerability, and passion, making the progression of their relationship feel realistic and heartwarming.

It's important to note that "The Deal" touches on some sensitive subjects, so readers should be mindful of potential triggers and heed the warnings provided.

Overall, "The Deal" is a delightful slow burn romance that keeps you hooked from start to finish. With well-developed characters, steamy scenes, and a satisfying blend of emotions, this book is a must-read for fans of the genre. I highly recommend both the print and audiobook versions for a fully immersive experience.

Garrett and Hannah were cute!

I enjoyed this book, but I kind of regret buying the audiobook and not the actual book because the woman’s voice for Hannah was just all wrong! It messed me up for a little while. I ended up getting used to it, but it still did not fit the character and at times was very monotone. I couldn’t stay awake during the listening of this book. The voice for Garrett was great and I found myself wanting to skip to his chapters.

The story was nice and cute.

I’ll look for another book from Elle Kennedy, but only if Lorelei isn’t reading for the girl.
