Story
For the first time as an Orbit special edition, Brent Weeks's blockbuster novella Perfect Shadow tells the origin story of the Night Angel trilogy's most enigmatic character: Durzo Blint. Gaelan Starfire is a farmer, happy to be a husband and a father; a careful, quiet, simple man. He's also an immortal, peerless in the arts of war. Over the centuries, he's worn many faces to hide his gift, but he is a man ill-fit for obscurity, and all too often he's become a hero, his very names passing into legend.

To much jardeer, after its a great book.
The 30% plus of the book of jardeer at the start was way to long. 6 hours in I was done with his portion. It dragged on. Lesha was one of my favourite characters but she felt stupid for most of the book. Not like the last book at all. The rest of the book is awesome good second book and I will read the third.

wasted potential
great narration. I really enjoy the main story and caste of characters but the sub plots and characters drag this down. the writer does too good a job making u hate the side characters which for some reason is a fair portion of the book. The pacing is jarring since u spend alot of time on characters you dont see a purpose too. looking at rena and her nasty father.

First Book = Amazing, This Book = Shitstain
It was a huge struggle to finish, the first book was great, this book was just such a huge disappointment, barely even deserves one star. contemplating whether or not I'm even going to finish the series.
