About this listen
THE INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES AND USA TODAY BEST SELLER
"Take my word for it, James Reece is one rowdy motherf***er. Get ready!" (Chris Pratt, star of The Terminal List, coming to Amazon Prime)
"They’re great, man. They lock you in. They’re gripping." (Joe Rogan, on the Terminal List series)
The fourth thriller in the “so powerful, so pulse-pounding, so well-written” (Brad Thor, number one New York Times best-selling author) Terminal List series follows former Navy SEAL James Reece as he is entrusted with a top-secret CIA mission of retribution twenty years in the making.
It’s been 20 years since 9/11, two decades since the United States was attacked on home soil and set out to make the guilty pay with their lives. In the shadows, the enemy has been patient - learning, and adapting. And the enemy is ready to strike again.
A new president offers hope to a country weary of conflict. He’s a young, popular, self-made visionary…but he’s also a man with a secret.
Halfway across the globe a regional superpower struggles with sanctions imposed by the United States and her European allies, a country whose ancient religion spawned a group of ruthless assassins. Faced with internal dissent and extrajudicial targeted killings by the United States and Israel, the Supreme Leader puts a plan in motion to defeat the most powerful nation on earth.
Meanwhile, a young PhD student has gained access to a bioweapon thought to be confined to a classified military laboratory known only to a select number of officials. A second-generation agent, he has been assigned a mission that will bring his adopted homeland to its knees.
With Jack Carr’s signature “absolutely intense” (Chuck Norris) writing and “gripping authenticity” (The Real Book Spy), The Devil’s Hand is a riveting and timely thriller that will leave you gasping for breath.

Story convoluted with overly technical terminology
The storyline was believable, but since the author elected to "show off" his technical knowledge regarding espionage and counterintelligence, at times I found reading slow due to his grasp of these subject.
Just stay on point.

good wakeup call
we need to really wakeup and destroy our enemies before they destroy us. I hope this never happens.

Another great one by Jack Carr!
If you enjoyed the other ones, then I'm sure this one will also tickle your fancy. The attention to detail with the equipment used by the characters is what does it for me, it really helps me visualize the scene.

More Reese.... MOAR!
This might be my second favorite book out of the series since the original. it started from what some people might find a slow but it includes much more "world building" then the previous entries in the series. it's also great to see how much Jack car is growing as an author. I look forward to continuing the adventures of James Reese.

Another amazing adventure captivates the reader!
When I first started the terminal list series I didn't have great expectations. Carr's skill at making the reader / listener unable to put down the book is incredible. Book 6 is this first book I have ever pre-ordered. Thank you for the fantastic journey!

Superior!
I’ve gone through all the books in the series and they have all been outstanding. Ray porter does a great job narrating and Carr’s writing prowess is unmatched in the genre. Excellent read! Highly recommend the whole series!

The Devil’s Hand gets is RIGHT
From front to back, this fiction novel is an in-depth look at the chain of events that could lead to mass terrorism events, perpetrated against a country’s own populace, when being used as a proxy. The descriptions of events and reactions are timely and reflect some of the current actions and activities going on in the public during the pandemic of 2020. The layers of detail add depth and realism to the story that is, for now, only fiction.

great book
The detail in the storytelling was captive. Can't wait to read the next book. Jack, keep up the great work. Looking forward to the tv series and more than 1 season.
