Good book… bad narration
I enjoyed this book good story and suspenseful. I definitely will read more by this author but only if it has a different narrator.
There was absolutely no emotion in this voice and it was very annoying.
Perseverance made me finish the book. For it was good story and has potential. I enjoyed the story itself but not its telling if it.
Hope this author use a different narrator. He was annoying throughout the book. Thank you Audible Plus.

A real surprise
I knew nothing about this story or author, but I had enjoyed the narrator’s off-beat style in the past so I gave it a try. I’m glad I did. It was much more nuanced and way more suspenseful than I ever would have expected. Really enjoyed listening.

Compelling writing, unfortunate narration
If not for the lifeless, cadence-less narration, the story is compelling and exciting to follow. The performance could pass for an AI not that just doesn’t get it. The writing itself is gripping and hopeful. I just wish the narrator did it justice.

Thrilling!
Maybe one of the best I’ve listened to in years! The character development was very good and the story itself was totally addictive. I’m glad I took the chance.

Had my heart beating
This was a great story. I'm not a huge thriller/suspense lover but thought this sounded really good and took a chance. It grabbed me from the 911 call through to the end. While some may find it a bit violent, I was so very, very heartened by the author not including sexual assault in this story.
The manner in which the kidnapper got himself on the suspect list seemed innocuous at the time, but was genius on the author's part!
This story showed the lengths a person would go to to make the one they loved happy. I like to think the Dispatcher lived, but it didn't look good and it was never confirmed. I was hoping for a short epilogue, but in hindsight, it had no place for one.
The narration was good - I could easily tell which character I was listening to, pace was on point and none of the voices were objectionable. I've recently gotten into graphicaudio so sometimes find that regular audiobooks bore me, but this one did not. All in all, worth a listen.

Storyline is great

Not worth the time
terrible performance. reads like a manual. ending was inadequate. what a waste of time. at least it was free. should have a trigger warning for violence.
