Publisher's Summary

Ex-Baltimore cop turned special-ops shooter Joe Ledger is back in action.

In The Dragon Factory, Ledger and his team from the Department of Military Sciences square off against two separate groups of corrupt scientists. The beautiful but twisted Jakoby Twins are creating transgenic monsters and genetically enhanced mercenaries for sale to the highest bidder. Their father, who takes evil to an entirely new level, is using cutting-edge science to complete the Nazi master-race program.

Joe must elude the NSA who are gunning for him, fight his way past rogue Spetsnaz teams, and stop these madmen before the Extinction Clock runs out. And when the bloodbath claims one of his own, Joe Ledger declares total war on those people who would burn down the world in order to reshape it in their own dark image.

What the critics say

“In Stoker-winner Maberry’s wild second Joe Ledger novel, Joe and his comrades from the Department of Military Science take on enough villains and their world-threatening plots to fill half a dozen ordinary thrillers.” ( Publishers Weekly)

Keeps you wanting more

The author does a good job building a story and characters. Narration is also well done. Story keeps you involved and wanting more. But know if it's enough to get involved in a whole series.

Another great Story

The Joe Ledger series is quickly becoming my new favorite series, the stories just click. They are intriguing, detailed, and grab me right away. The performance by Ray Porter, is amazing, as usual.

Mediocre at best

Like the premise and the idea behind books. What i find really annoying is how the Russians are always over played bad guys. Joe ledger is not at a spec forces guy but he willy nilly kills spetznas like nothing and genetically super soldiers like they were all star trek red shirts. Book got really long winded and Joe Ledger is a Mary Sue and a rambo rolled into a uber american soldier army of one. Wish the author would have some actually done some research on spec forces, or basic military team tactics. i hope the series doesnt go further downhill from here.
