Publisher's Summary

The second volume of The Heritage of Shannara, which continues one of the most popular fantasy series of all time

Ancient evil forces remain in control of the Four Lands. To restore the Kepp of the Druid Allanon, Walker Boh sets out on a journey to find the black Elfstone. After narrowly escaping death, he learns that the Elfstone lies in the hands of the Stone King. Now Walker Boh must venture into perilous, unknown lands with a strange band of fellow travelers that includes Morgan Leah, whose once-magic sword has been broken; Quickening, the daughter of the ancient King; and Pe Ell, an assassin who hatches his own dark, sinister plot.

Thus continues the enthralling Shannara epic, a spellbinding tale of adventure, magic, and myth....

Druid of Shannara

I like where this series is going. Kept me interested throughout, like Walker Bow’s character arc

Love the story but not crazy about John Lee

I think the story is really good. You get to experience the highs and lows that the characters go through in the novel. My one complaint is the performance of John Lee. I feel like I am listening to William Shatner over acting. Someone like Scott Brick does a far superior performance. By the way, thankfully this is an unabridged version. I don't understand the concept of the abridged version. You lose so much of the character development.

Shannara series

I’m really enjoying this section of the Shannara series, except the narration. John Lee often ends sentences with a lower note to his voice- very annoying.
