Too much exposition

This author goes overboard with exposition. There are times ... no wait, every time a tense or any other situation comes up the author goes off and an exposition tangent, and when I get to the point of being fed up and hit skip 30 seconds a head, it's generally STILL going on. The story would be 100 times better without this. In the first novel I loathed Tad, then I realized it was because the author kept going off on exposition tangents that take away from the story as the MC's thoughts or inner dialogue. It's ridiculous.
