Great story in the Middle Falls series!

I've enjoyed the first 4 books in the series but this one stirred my emotions so much more. I loved how she to experience every life differently and not be one track minded once she realized she couldn't rely on her lives proceeding exactly the same.
Very touching and emotional story, and I cried at the end.

Liked how she improved

I liked how Veronica improved from each life lived (got more or greater relationships with friends and family) & tried new things before finding true love and happiness.
But I was definitely not impressed with her first and second life. At least, she wasn’t a doormat and learnt assertiveness after her first death.
I am truly curious about the life of the first « retuner » she met in a library thought… ;)

I really enjoyed each new life with all the changing relationships- and the acting was great.

Beautiful story

I got hooked on this series from the beginning, and have enjoyed each one of the stories very much. But this one was head and shoulders above the first four books. Part of that was the story itself, but a huge part of it was the brilliant narration work of Tamara Marston. Her consistent use of the aged voice for the thoughts of Veronica made it so easy to follow, and she has a tremendous skill at story telling, and use of inflection when reading. Some of the other narrators in this series are so sing song in their reading, that it just didn't sound authentic, avd took me out of the stories. Ms. Marston never did this. This book is a tremendous example of how a great story, and a great narrator can elevate the experience.

Great continuation!

I haven't listened to the series in the correct order but certainly enjoyed this story. Makes me wonder if I'm learning the lessons I'm supposed to in this life!

Loved that a woman is the central character!

I have greatly enjoyed all of the Middle Falls books but this one is my favorite thus far. I would love to see these books continue on and on, with more of them having a woman as the main character. I love that I can listen to audiobooks as I go about my day and these are particularly engrossing. Time travel is one of my favorite areas whether in movies or books and I have been quite thankful for this series.

A Must-Read

Avoiding spoilers while writing a review is difficult. The narrator is excellent and the story even more so. All I can say is that, at the end of the story, I could feel a tear in my eye and yet was totally satisfied with the ending as written. And this, coming from a woman who has often wondered what it would be like if one could go back, Quantam Leap style, to "set right what once went wrong". Veronica McAllister...I wasn't all that crazy about the sad woman at the start of the book, but loved the woman at the end of the book and I am sorry to say goodbye to her. I didn't realize it was part of the series, but I will be going back to read more of this author's stories...I hope they are as good as this one.

It has a lot of five star reviews. And here is another one!

Read it. You won't regret it.
