About this listen
Two thousand years ago, Mary Magdalene hid a set of scrolls in the French Pyrenees: the Gospel of Mary Magdalene, her version of the life of Jesus and the events of the New Testament. Protected by supernatural forces, these sacred scrolls could be uncovered only by a special seeker, one who fulfills the ancient prophecy of L'Attendu, the Expected One.
As Maureen becomes immersed in the mystical lore of L'Attendu, the eerie prophecy of the Expected One casts a shadow over her life and work, and a long-buried family secret comes to light. Maureen's extraordinary journey takes her from the dusty streets of Jerusalem to the cathedrals of Paris to the rocky foothills of southwest France. To search for the scrolls, she must unravel clues that link history's great artistic masters, dynasties, and scientific minds. Ultimately, she comes face-to-face with Jesus Christ, Mary Magdalene, and a love triangle that changed the course of history in a deeply moving and powerful new gospel...the greatest story never told.

Rings true
This book brought an approachable perspective of Jesus and an enlightening one of Mary Magdalene. I felt it was like a breath of fresh air and rang true to my very core.

Stunning
I have always been fascinated with the stories of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene. Throughout my life despite never being exposed to a religious family life or religious friends I have always searched for certain answers regarding existence. My early life I found Jesus Christ through a summer School program that changed my life at seven years old and then later at a Bible camp. I remember praying and my prayers all coming true. It’s not that I lost my faith in Jesus Christ it’s that my life became so complicated that I started to not believe in any religion or organized structures of religion and discovered instead a deeper truth in the practice of yoga through my physical body. When I listened to this book I was completely enraptured and I enjoyed the historical despite the possibility of fictitious explanations of family lines customs rituals and of course the political nature of the main story. It all feels right to me and it did move me to a huge degree. I think we are living in a special time where certain truth is inevitably going to be released and history as we know it or what has been told to us through religion is going to change. We are definitely in a dawning of a new age and it is imperative that we recognize the Divine feminine along with the divine masculine and the two must be united to become one. One of the greatest love stories of all times as far as I’m concerned is the story of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene. A beautiful story moving spiritual and eternal.

Couldn't put it down!
I loved this book! It has intrigue, art, exotic locations, a touch of normalized supernatural. Most importantly, it opens to a new way of interpreting historical events, religious views, and especially the role of women in those.

Utterly bizarre
Entirely fictitious account of Christian theology presented as if it is factual and researched historical journalism. Made me understand how Americans could actually vote for Trump. Makes a wide host of claims about history without references, never mind academic ones, no references of any kind. Unsettling this could make a best seller list. It is utterly ridiculous.
