About this listen
From Sandie Jones, author of the Reese Witherspoon x Hello Sunshine Book Club Pick and USA Today best seller, The Other Woman, comes an addictive new domestic suspense audiobook about a wife, her husband, and the woman who is supposedly her best friend.
The Wife: For Alice, life has never been better. With her second husband, she has a successful business, two children, and a beautiful house.
Her Husband: Alice knows that life could have been different if her first husband had lived, but Nathan’s arrival into her life gave her back the happiness she craved.
Her Best Friend: When Alice met Beth, her best friend, it was the icing on the cake. A friend without judgement, to celebrate with, commiserate with, Beth is the most trustworthy and loyal person that Alice knows. So when Nathan starts disappearing for stretches of time, Alice turns to Beth. But soon, she begins to wonder whether her trust has been misplaced....

It was the kind of book that was good but ended with a ‘huh’
Don’t get me wrong— I did enjoy this book. The reader did a fantastic job. I love audiobooks that make you feel like you are the character in the book. I was a bit disappointed that some parts of the story didn’t get resolved or wasn’t explained. It was still a very enjoyable read.

Great read
This was such an interesting listen. I really enjoyed it and felt myself getting more and more paranoid the more I listened. I docked off a star because I think Jones' previous novel, The Other Woman, was a better read.
The twist in this one was a bit obvious to me but it was still a great read.

complicated excitement
I really liked it. It got kind of complicated and really exciting. I found myself shouting at the characters.
It was very good.

Not finished but finding it a slog to get through
I’m not finding the story very interesting - maybe the ending will get better? If I make it that far

I stuck it out
Hard to believe story with many jumps between events and loose ends. In some parts, it was simply poorly written. Needed a lot more editing.
