About this listen

Now in a convenient audio bundle, here are the first three novels in Jill Ramsower's captivating Five Families Series.

Love and danger are intertwined for the Genovese sisters as they're caught up in a dark web of schemes and violence, and find the ruthless men who will rule their hearts.

Forever Lies

When Alessia gets stuck in an elevator at work, she's trapped with Luca, the hottest man she's ever seen. But she can tell something dark hides beneath his charming facade, especially once he decides he's not letting her go.

Never Truth

Sofia swore she'd never forgive Nico for leaving her in darkness. When Sofia's powerful father hires Nico to protect her, Nico knows he'll never be strong enough to walk away from her a second time...but convincing her won't be easy.

Blood Always

Maria knows her arranged marriage is the best thing for her family, but she didn't count on her husband Matteo's ruthless determination to possess her--or their sizzling chemistry. Will they survive the passion that burns between them?

Author's Note: These are mafia romances intended for mature audiences with some elements that may be inappropriate for sensitive audiences. For those of you who are new to me, I write what I'd call "mafia lite." My heroes are hardened criminals with soft spots for their heroines. There may be violence and cruelty in my books, but never between the main characters. Enjoy!

The last story is the best

The first two were meh, but the last one was on point. Narrators on the last book were the best

⭐️⭐️⭐️

The story is good and entertaining to listen but female narrators fall flat. I wish to hear the intensity of something in their voice character.

Typical nice mafia romance.

Narrators did a great job. I liked how the stories were connected but could still be listened to seperately if you really wanted to.

I loved book 3. It had me laughing at parts.
Looking forward to the next set.

Overall this was actually a very tame series and a nice break from darker books.

Trigger warning: child abuse and death. Along with typical mafia death.

Solid Book Series

Each book has a blend of romance and mystery. The layers of character development and plot are well written. As the characters get to know one another we as readers get to know the characters and witness interesting mysteries unfold. The book series has some spice but not as much as I was expecting. That was a bit of a disappointment but the rest of the writing is interesting and all the books held my attention. Out of all the books, the third book contains the most sensitive subject matter but there isn't an overabundance of detail and the character responses are realistic. All three stories have heart and it builds a connection between the reader and the listener. The narration upholds the writing for the most part and the narrators realistically portray the character emotions.

Okay stories but uncomfortable

The stories were okay, the first two being far more standard than usual. The characters are a bit 2D with a lot of reliance on tropes, but my main issue was the odd views that kept getting put through.
Weird comments about SW, politics, etc. just felt uncomfortable and couldn’t hold my interest.
