Well written

I'm almost through the series and it is pretty good. There are enough plot twists to keep things interesting. I don't really find the comparison of Clan of the Cave Bear meets Tolkien to be apt though. Clan of the Cave Bear is well founded on a great deal of research whereas this is a world of fantasy. As with many books in this genre, they take some inspiration from Tolkien as opposed to rising to the level of it.

It is a good series though that is well written and well worth the read especially if you like a little romance mixed in the story.
