About this listen
On September 28th, a geologist working in Death Valley finds a mysterious new cinder cone in very well-mapped area. On October 1, the government of Australia announces the discovery of an enormous granite mountain. Like the cinder cone, it wasn't there six months ago.
Something is happening to planet Earth, and the truth is too terrifying to contemplate.

Took forever to get to the point
It was exciting and enjoyable at times but had too much build up /unnecessary details and side plots that felt meaningless. I was fatigued by the time the ending came

Meh.
Some interesting ideas and problems are presented but not ever really explored or resolved
Moments of imagining the narrator reading a script

Not enjoyable
I don't like giving negative reviews, but I have to in this case. I tried reading this book on Kindle, but I never got past the first quarter of the book. it sat there for months, I would read a few pages, then stop. Then I saw it on Audible and figured I would give it a try. However, I still have problems with it. I found it slow, over detailed and spent to much time on build up. There was also an awkwardness to it that I can't explain. Truly sorry, but that is how I feel.
