As the anniversary of the murders approaches, Faith Winters is released from the psychiatric hospital and yanked back to the last spot on earth she wants to be - her hometown where the slayings took place. Wracked by the lingering echoes of survivor's guilt, Faith spirals into a black hole of alcoholism and wanton self-destruction. Finding no solace at the bottom of a bottle, Faith decides to track down her sister's killer - only to discover that she's the one being hunted.

How can one woman uncover the truth when everyone's a suspect - including herself?

From the mind of Wall Street Journal best-selling author Christopher Greyson The Girl Who Lived should come with a warning label: Once you start listening, you won't be able to stop. Not since Girl on the Train and Gone Girl has a psychological thriller kept listeners so addicted - and guessing right until the last chapter.

Nice twist!!

The story was a bit slow to start and didn't immediately draw me in. baby chapter 12 I was intrigued. it was a slow build but the ending was worth it.

Twists and turns ad nauseam

This is an action movie. Riveting while in action but so so for the rest. Characters are underdeveloped and stereotyped. The amounts of twist and turns soon becomes ridiculous. I guessed the killer mid story and was really disappointed with the conclusion.

Couldn’t stop listening

So many twists and questions unanswered- I kept wanting to listen to just one more chapter which would become 3 more or even more.

Pleasant surprise!

Started off somber and sad but became very interesting pretty quickly. Loved the constant twists and turns. Never knew what was around every corner. Worth the read.

Reader didn't capture me.

This was my first audio book. The story was ok. It did start a little slow and somber and I didn't really like Faith at all. I just couldn't identify with her. The reader did not capture the male voices for me.. Overall 3 out 5.
