Publisher's Summary
Princess Anidori-Kiladra of Kildenree was born with a word on her tongue, and a secret magic. Though she is raised in luxury, she is never quite comfortable with who she is, or what she is to become. Then she is sent on a journey to marry an unknown prince. The trip is difficult, and before it is finished all her expectations are overturned. Alone, friendless, stripped of her crown and her title, Ani must learn to make her own path in the world. Along the way, she just might learn to be a princess.
Bold in concept, stunning in execution, The Goose Girl is one of the most spectacular debut novels of recent years. Now more than four dozen actors bring it to thrilling new life in this unabridged audio edition—a recording that will delight those who already love the book, and enthrall those who have not yet discovered it.

Captivating characters and storyline
This book is so beautifully written. The narration is fantastic and the actors do a great job bringing brightness and vibrancy to the characters they portray. One of the first audio books in a long time that gave me the same feeling I got as a child when I absolutely could not put a book down until the story was finished. Highly recommend. There’s a lovely message from the author at the end as well, which I found both sweet and inspiring.

AMAZING Book!
This is an awesome book that I definitely recommend. A couple of parts that the writer probably didn't need to put in, but besides that it was great.
I also recommend another one of Shannon Hales books. It's called 'Paint the wind'. One of my all-time favourites. Great book for horse lovers. It's full of adventure when you get to the middle. The first chapter is a tiny bit odd, but the rest of the book is great!

Amazing audiobook of my favourite YA novel
I’ve read and re-read this story more times than I can count. Shannon Bale’s Goose Girl series continues to be a favourite. I really enjoyed the full cast in this audiobook. I was finally able to hear how the songs should be sung. It was produced with quality.

So many emotions
This book made me feel many things. There were a lot of twists and turns that I did not see coming, but there were also many predictions that I made that did come true—not because the book is predictable but because Hale sets up her plot points with subtle foreshadowing that provides the reader with hints at what’s to come.

Beautiful
I loved the story and performance. It is beautiful and magical and interwoven with joy and tragedy. Never judge by appearances.
