Publisher's Summary

Welcome to the hotel where nobody checks out. When a desk clerk welcomes a group of tourists into his mysterious and crumbling hotel, the last thing he expects is that a lone girl on his tour may hold the power to unravel the hidden mystery that has lain for untold centuries within the structure’s walls. The Grand Hotel is a horror novel by esteemed best-selling author Scott Kenemore (Zombie, Ohio) that takes the reader on a thrilling ride through an interconnected series of stories narrated by the desk clerk and the residents of the hotel itself. And while it is not known whether or not the desk clerk is actually the devil incarnate, it is strange that so many visitors who come for a tour of the hotel have a way of never leaving. As the narrator takes you deeper and deeper into the heart of the hotel, secrets that have been hiding for aeons begin to show themselves. Although he is quite prepared for this experience, there is some question as to whether or not the rest of the world shares this readiness. Kenemore's incredible style and originality carry The Grand Hotel to places most people only see in their nightmares. And while we don’t know all of the secrets that lie within the Grand Hotel, we know that the person who does hold that knowledge puts fear into the narrator himself - a thought that ought to terrify everyone.

Very cool, very creepy.

A bunch of individual stories tied into one, reminds me of the old Tales from the Crypt movie from the 70s. Loved it, especially the ending and the last story. Reader is fantastic.

Unexpectedly Excellent!

Slow start to this one but as we venture farther into The Grand Hotel the performance captivates you and the story holds your attention. Best performance I've experienced by one narrator. He was awesome!

Amazing!

The narrator is the best I’ve ever heard on audible. He give each 15+ characters their own personality and keeps you drawn in the whole time. This book as well is astounding. I’ve never read anything like it before and I am blown away by the creativity, imagination and the way it was able to fit together so wonderfully. I never could guess what was happening next and was attentive through it all. Definitely read this novel!!!

I just finished this book and I really enjoyed it. The different individuals and their different stories and the shell shock of an ending. it was very amazing. I will definitely be re-reading this again!

Stellar narration

Story was interesting - some more than others, but the standout here is the narrator! Wonderful work with varying voices and accents, none of which were overdone or distracting from the story itself.

Great Listen!

I gave this book a shot while it was included with Audible Plus and am so glad I did! The story was atmospheric and intriguing enough to have me listening until the end, but, to me, the narration was the definitive high point of the book. The narrator manages to give each character their own voice and personality in a way that avoids being kitschy, and creates the perfect ambience for the story.
