Publisher's Summary

The first time you meet someone, you make eye contact. You smile, say hello. Should be simple, if you're anyone but me.

The first time I met Dylan Reed, I found myself making eye contact with a different part of his body. You see, I'm very good at being shy, not to mention extremely well-versed in rambling nonsense and, unfortunately, rather highly skilled at making a fool of myself in front of a guy I'm attracted to. At the time, I knew nothing about him and thought none of what I said would matter since I'd never speak to him again. Turns out, I was very wrong.

He was the star wide receiver of the football team, one of the few players expected to make it into the NFL, and I ended up seeing him all over campus. I might have also propositioned him, run away from him, attacked him with a cooking utensil...and...uh, maybe I shouldn't tell you all of it. It's pretty normal stuff, things you'd expect...from me.

Eventually, the time came when I couldn't hide anymore - not that he'd have let me even if I tried. Before now, he never knew I was secretly watching him. Now that we see each other every day, he knows when I have a hard time looking away. It doesn't help that I'm not the most subtle person in the world either. He smiles at me and tells me he finds me fascinating because of my quirks. I can't even tell him that I think my heart beats differently whenever he's around.

He thinks we're going to be best friends. I think I have a big thing for him, and the more I get to know him, the more I don't care that I'm not allowed to be his friend, let alone fall for him. The thing is, that's exactly what I'm doing - what we're doing, I think. Falling. Hard.

Contains mature themes.

Good story

I enjoyed the story but the male narration voice when speaking as the female almost ruined the whole book. Hard to listen to his parts at times. Otherwise, I enjoyed the story

Very sweet storyline

I want a man like Dylan, he has the masculine side and sweet adorable loving side. Story leaves you feeling good. Definitely worth listening too.

Okay

The story was OK, and made me want to keep listening to finish it, but my word the narrating from the male voice was cringey to say the least. And what is with the incessant use of the word cock? It’s all right if you like these kind of books anyway.

Really sweet story

Really sweet story and an easy listen. Makes me want to listen to more from this author and the narrators did a good job as well!

Saliva and Kermit

Written for young adults. Writing lacks maturity. Zoey's character was quite annoying and Lidia's speech made it worse.

Narration: I forgot how Lidia speaks with pools of saliva in her mouth and very distracting. Alexander's female voice is odd sounds like Kermit or something weird.

Emotionally Entangling

Wow! Now this is a good listen. Great plot, good characters, and remembered moments. The writer certinaly had a grip on everything that was consumable and shoved it in the right place. not to mention the adult content had you feeling like you're volunteering yourself to the scenes. Really, really good. -1Star for Same reader. Tying in characters that have different voices will always enhance your ability to get your listener's drawing conclusions. Well Done, Thank you.

Enjoyable and fun

Really enjoyed the story. Was personally hoping for more football action but that’s just the sports lover in me. Happy listener.

Couldn’t stop listening!

Loved every bit of this book. It was never boring. Enjoyed thoroughly! Great narration from both narrators, although it was a bit ear grating to hear Zoey’s voice from the male narrator but you get used to it. Asides from that I loved the main characters. Like no one was annoying, they had good communication with each other. Their romance built up very nicely and at a good pace, it was believable. I don’t like when books make one character annoying but you’re kind of forced to like them because they are the main character, this was not that book and I appreciate that. All characters were lovely ❤️ except you know who, but read the book and find out 🙂

Pretty Solid Twist!

Dylan is a delightful hero and the way Zoe and he bounce together for many meet-cutes throughout their college life was adorable. When he finally breaks through her walls and they start their relationship it's satisfying. Secrets always reveals themselves and it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. It was a solidly great read. Lidia Dornet was amazing, but it was Alexander Cendese's female voice that made me choose 4/5 for performance.
