About this listen

Arabella Lane is found dead in the Thames on a frosty winter’s morning after the office Christmas party. No one is sure whether she jumped or was pushed. The one person who may know the truth is the office temp, Eleanor.

Having traveled to London to escape the repercussions of her traumatic childhood in Australia, tragedy seems to follow Eleanor wherever she goes. To her horror, she has no memory of the crucial hours leading up to Arabella’s death - memory that will either incriminate or absolve her.

Caught in a crossfire of accusations, Eleanor fears she can’t even trust herself, let alone the people around her. And soon, she’ll find herself in a race against time to uncover what happened that night - and discover just how deadly some secrets can be.

Not bad but I was left unfinished.

Between the back and forth from the main characters past trauma and current chaos I was engaged but growing impatient. In the end I found myself rooting for Will and then angry at how he was dumped in the last moments of the book. Why? He hadn't done anything wrong. I want a mini conclusion to bring some resolution to the poor guys story!

Not a complete waste of time

Had this book been edited down at least 4 or 5 chapters, it would have been very much better. Plot is good; characters underdeveloped.

Engaged from the start, full of twists and turns. What you thought was happening, wasn’t. Unpredictable. Totally enjoyable marathon listening. Highly recommend!

Liked this one

I really liked the book but I swear there are pets where Eleanor’s “voice” is read by two people?
Great read!

Good listen

* spoiler* was a good listen, but I feel like they drug on what happened with her brother too long, and there was a point where it was too much back and forth.
Over all though, it was a good and the twist was well done
