The lifeblood of the Wiltshire village of Ivy Hill is its coaching inn, The Bell. But when the innkeeper dies suddenly, his genteel wife, Jane Bell, becomes the reluctant owner. love the characters
loved the story and characters but wish there was a bit more of a happy ending in the romance department. but I still had to listen to find out the end. and it was good

Great story
A “ included” book that was very enjoyable to listen to. Different twists and turns and a look at the functions of village inns during this era …and also a look at what women had to endure when stepping outside their expected position…

Reminiscent of Downton Abby
A feel good story! I loved the narrator. I found the beginning quite slow but the characters and story line was captivating. Listening was like indulging in a favourite comfort food.

Please hire actors to read your stories
The story was great. The narration is horrible. I plowed through listening because of the story. I just don’t understand with all the talent and great voices authors/publishers are not more selective. It ruins the whole experience

Great experience!
I love how the story interweaves several peoples lives all at once. Keeps it interesting and enjoyable. Great narration - I really like her pleasant voice.
