About this listen

To investigate the source of gossip about Cyclops, Willie does the unthinkable: She dons a dress. However, her plan goes awry when she’s kidnapped by a disgruntled magician with the power to detonate gunpowder at will. The magician forces India and Matt to race all over London in the hunt for her before the bombs go off.

Meanwhile, powerful members of the Collectors Club are trying to find out what new spell India has created with Fabian, and with India’s attention focused elsewhere, they might just succeed.

Another great book in this amazing series.

C.J. Archer spins another great tale filled with magic, intrigue and romance. The characters jump off the page and instantly engage you in their story. They are quirky, unique, with dynamic personalities complete with strengths and foibles. The narrative brings to life the era the story takes place in while providing insight into the thoughts, motivations and actions of the main character. The mystery is full of danger, suspense and emotional drama as the concept of what is best for the magician’s of the world in general is explored. Throughout the well written, fast paced and smooth flowing storyline, the characters continue to develop and adjust to ever changing circumstances. If you are looking for a fun adventure with surprises and romance, all wrapped up in magic, you should enjoy this book.

Weakest

Story hit the ground running but kept going for several chapters after the actions was resolved to discuss seemingly silly personal issues. I assume it will be related to a family story line moving forward. Continues to be the beach read enjoyability.
