About this listen
The Dragon King is looking for a wife.
This news throws the women in my village into a tizzy. The king will be sending out the royal guard to bring women of childbearing age to his castle in Jade City.
There is only one requirement: The woman must carry enough magic to produce an heir for him.
I’m a watered-down human with a mere 10 percent dragon magic lineage, I know I won’t be chosen, but for some reason the magic sniffers command me to present myself to the king as a possible wife.
I’m ready to go to Jade City until my mother tells me a terrifying secret. A secret that could get me killed… by the king himself.
This is a full-length fantasy romance stand-alone with an HEA!

Well hot dang! great story and narration! I really enjoyed this. There was a part that I was like NO but it was redeemed! Thank goodness. 100% recommend.

Meh.
Major "pick me" vibes from the main character. If I had been reading rather than listening, I wouldn't have finished.
I'll give it 3 stars for not making the whole competition boil down to women hating each other. The main character does form friendships with other women. However, the conflict at the end was not enjoyable and felt flimsy, the plot outside the romance was maybe 10% of the book, and it is not an enemies to lovers story.
I will mention that I am not a fan of the pregnancy trope and really do not like the pure, virgin, sex-is-only-for-marriage female characters. You are not damaged goods for having sex with more than one person in life. It does not have to be your first time ever for your first time with someone to be special.
