About this listen
A binge-worthy locked-room thriller about family, trust, and survival from the acclaimed author of the “utterly thrilling” (Lisa Jewell, #1 New York Times bestselling author) First Born.
When Caz steps onboard the exclusive cruise liner RMS Atlantica, it’s the start of a vacation of a lifetime with her new love, Pete. On their first night they explore the ship, eat, dance, make friends, but when Caz wakes the next morning, Pete is missing.
And when she walks out into the corridor, all the cabin doors are open. To her horror, she soon realizes that the ship is completely empty. No passengers, no crew, nobody but her. The Atlantica is steaming into the mid-Atlantic and Caz is the only person on board. But that’s just the beginning of the terrifying journey she finds herself trapped on in this white-knuckled mystery.

Disappointing.
If I could give half stars it would be 2.5 maybe 2.75. I really loved the Last Thing to Burn so I gave this one a go. What a complete departure of style and storytelling. The Last One is deeply unrealistic. It gets more and more absurd the deeper you go into the book. I don’t need stories to be 100% based in reality but literally nothing that happens in this book would ever happen and it’s very annoying.
I would say save your credit. If you want to try this author get the Last Thing to Burn instead.

completely different book then I thought
if I knew the book would turn into what it was after chapter 3 I wouldn't of got it . disappointing, I was super excited to listen to this mystery book about a girl waking up and being the only one left on the ship. not some stupid reality TV show competition she didn't no she signed up for . only reason I even finished it was to finish it and not have to think about it again .
