A timeless classic
Besides wishing there wasn’t a racist epithet for Indigenous people used, this is a timeless classic that I have been listening to on a cassette since childhood. Happy i can listen every autumn still despite not having the cassette anymore!

absolute classic for me
While I love the original story by Washington Irving, this shortened children's version narrated by Glenn Close will probably always be my favorite ever since I saw the video when I was a kid. Her voice is lovely, she has wonderful cadence, and the music is beautiful and haunting and sets the perfect backdrop.
