Publisher's Summary

Rich boys don't fraternize with the help.
They don't care about the help.
They don't protect the help.

I should've remembered those lessons before I handed over my trust to four gorgeous, domineering boys.

But I didn't.

And now, I'm not the only one who's been hurt.

Someone out there is toying with me and my family, and I don't know who to turn to or who to trust.

I never wanted to play this game. But since the pieces are already on the board...

I'm sure as f--k gonna play to win.

Author's Note: The Lie is a reverse harem high school bully romance, the second book in the Kings of Linwood Academy trilogy. It contains cursing and sexual situations.

Story decent narrator whiny

I found this story to be somewhat more realistic than some in this genre though it was slow moving and not in a good slow burn tension kind of way just slow. The narrator was not good though, her voice is fine but as soon as the FMC was playful, upset, any kind of heightened it sounded so whiny and ruined it. She also mispronounced a number of words (belies, misogynistic, copious) just made everything annoying.
