About this listen
He's doing what he can to save the Prince Regent's life...but can he save his new marriage as well?
Evan Eldridge never meant to be a war hero - he just wanted to fight Napoleon for the future of his country. And he certainly didn't think that saving the life of a peer would mean being made the Earl of Whitelock. But when the life you save is dear to the Prince Regent, things can change in a hurry.
Now Evan has a new title, a manor house in shambles, and a stranger for a bride, all thrust upon him by a grateful ruler. What he doesn't have are all his memories. Traumatized as a result of his wounds and bravery on the battlefield, Evan knows there's something he can't quite remember. It's important, dangerous - and if he doesn't recall it in time, will jeopardize not only his marriage but someone's very life.

Smart. Intelligent. Amazing
A story with intrigue and romance and two ppl who must accept their fate as husband and wife, without the need to wait til the last second to tell each other how they feel is amazing.
Add in a smart story teller with great writing skills and a creative imagination, and it’s a winning story with so many plot twists you’ll always be guessing. Just wonderful

Intriguing story, weird performance.
I enjoyed the story; lots of twists and turns. The narration, however, made me feel as if I was listening to fingernails scratching on a blackboard. The narrator is clearly American, committing crimes upon an English accent. I actually had to go back a few times to figure out what she was trying to say. The accent that she has conjured from her imagination bears no resemblance to a legitimate accent from anywhere on Earth although there were whiffs of Arnold Schwarzenegger about it. Wait until you get to the part where the gardner "forked over" the garden. Use your imagination to figure out how it came out. She had a cadence to her speech that sounded like she was either really bored, or was nodding off.
Take your chances on this one, and listen to a sample first.
