Loved this book!
#Audible1
I love this book. In fact, I wish they would make a movie out of it.
Its a spy story, its a revenge story, its a love story, and its a survival story. You get everything rolled into a single story.
But something sinister is going on in the world and they are the only ones who can stop it.
You will not be disappointed.

Inferior Quality
Other raters have commented on the disappointing Abridgement of this well-loved Robert Ludlum novel. To be sure, it's boiled down to bare-bones plot.. but I actually found it quite effective. This is an admittedly silly book about CIA and KGB agents teaming up to thwart Corsicans (yes, you read that right - CORSICANS) that formed an international conspiracy after WWI: bankrolling terrorists and controlling governments all over the world
..but if you can suspend disbelief, it's a fun James Bond-like plot - filled with intrigue, cool (if a little clichéd) spy fare, and action-action-action. The trick is to realize that this is a romp, and lower your expectations. I mean, who reads Ludlum looking for "literature"? My main issue with the audiobook is rather the production standards.
Random House Audio and Stephen Lang really dropped the ball.. Music is placed laughably injudiciously, for example - and the audio is Analog-quality at best (it needs a serious remaster). Compounding the offense, Lang delivers a melodramatic reading performance and cartoonishly bad accents.
This recording rates a mere 4.5 stars out of 10. You're not absolutely crazy to give this a listen (and serious Ludlum fans will enjoy this version of one of his better rollercoaster-ride stories), but there are far better books on which to spend a Credit.
