About this listen
Have you ever hit rock bottom? I embarrassingly have.
It’s why I’m wearing my girl's decorative scarf over my head, clutching her lady drink to my chest, and singing ever so softly to Joni Mitchell while swaying back and forth.
This is what therapists refer to as losing it.
Oldest story in the book: boy meets girl, boy falls for girl, boy screws up massively, girl tells boy to suffocate in the fruits of his very own unborn children.
Heard it before? I'm sure you have.
So what's so different about this story? Well, it's about me, The Modern Gentleman, New York City's top advice columnist, and my rather ungraceful downfall from my pristinely polished pedestal.
It's about a girl I met who threw all my proven theories to the wind and left me awkward, needy, and absolutely head-over-wing-tipped shoes in love.
This is a story about June Lacy and how she single-handedly dismantled The Modern Gentleman.

Sooooo many LOL moments!
I don't usually write reviews. However this book had me laugh out loud at so many moments I couldn't not write a review. It was funny, a great love story. Predictable of course but the banter kept me into it the entire book. Connor Crais nailed this book. I think this is my favorite book of his now. He really did an amazing job! spend the credit and get this one, you won't be disappointed! A fun, romantic read you will enjoy!

There are not enough Stars!
Both performances were terrific, but Connor Crais was so side-splittingly funny as an online columnist advising on all things modern manhood, that I had to pull my car over to the side of the road to clear the laughing tears from my eyes. Our leading lady, voiced by Kelsey Navarro, was appropriately spunky, but the poor girl is outshined even by Crais' female character interpretation. Connor's marketing merch jokingly says "Putting the man into Romance", and if we can define "manhood" for the purposes of romance as really committing, then this narrator has a long and successful career in front of him . I would put him in the same category as Zachary Webber/Jacob Morgan, and Jason Clarke for delivering a wide range of characters so real you can almost see them, humor that makes you laugh till it hurts, as well as sexy times that never becomes cringe worthy - only toe curling and heart fluttering in the best way. There are not enough stars!
