Publisher's Summary

As statistics tell us that most of the "ventureholics" who go out on their own to start a business will ultimately fail; and, as readers will learn, the main reason for this is because most businesses are not started the right way. Based on decades of experience working with small business owners, Michael Gerber will teach budding entrepreneurs his one-of-a-kind seven-step method - which is meant to be conceptualized long before the doors are ever opened, and what will ultimately position business' for long-term success and growth.

Not by writing a business plan or spending countless amounts of resources on marketing will readers learn what is essential to creating a successful small business. By following the methodology outlined in this book small business owners will be able to build a solid structure for their business - what it looks like, how it works, the fluency of performance, etc. It is not until these seven-steps are considered and fully-executed that the business will be prepared for growth.

MICHAEL E. GERBER is a best-selling author and founder and chairman of E-Myth Worldwide, a company that transforms the way small-business owners grow their companies. He has coached, taught, and trained over 60,000 small businesses in 145 countries, which has led him to become the world's preeminent small-business guru.

I should have read the reviews

Like others have said, it's not very interesting and I was left disappointed. Book is philosophy without practical information

Don’t waste your ear’s capabilities, chapter 9 goes off the rails!

Starts off interesting, quickly turns into what sounds line a ‘stoner’ giving ‘life advice’ and somehow God makes into the conversation. What a strange book and point of view, if you can even call it that. Glad I didn’t pay for this.

Meh

I am a fan of most of Michael Gerber's work and feel this fell short of all expectations.

There is one, maybe two, interesting topics that made me take pause. Although not so interestimg that I left feeling I must implememt right now.

Religious book masquerading as a business book

Very disappointing. Yet another author that puts a sermon in a book, pretending to be a business book but is a religious book.
I don't need your mythology / superstition to run a successful business
