About this listen

This Puritan classic, first published in the late 17th century, sets forth the biblical teaching of God and his interaction in our lives.

No detail is too small or insignificant for God; he is there, working out "all things for good". And in that promise, every believer can take comfort that God truly has a purpose for every single person and will unfold his plan, which includes every detail in our daily lives.

Chapter topics include: proofs of a special providence; the operations of providence; the duty of reflecting on the operations of providence; directions for reflecting on the dispensations of providence; motives to a due observance of providence; and the practicality of providence.

A Puritan classic

A must read for every Christian. Keep in mind that Flavel survived 3 wives and at least 2 children. His father was a nonconformist who died in prison. His life was not easy and yet he wrote this grand text.

Superb

This is one of the greatest treasures I’ve come across after being a Christian for 45 years. This is my roadmap through all my tribulations which increase as I get older. Thank dear brother Flavel up there in the great cloud of witnesses.
