Publisher's Summary

The first three novels and the prequel novella in the million-selling Nate Temple Series: Obsidian Son, Blood Debts, Grimm, and Fairy Tale.

My name is Nate Temple, and I’m secretly a wizard.

I ride a foul-mouthed unicorn, I drink with Achilles, and I’m pals with the Four Horsemen. I’ve even cow-tipped the Minotaur. I understand the theory of following the rules...I’m just not very good at the application.

Because rules were meant to be broken, and St. Louis has a bit of a supernatural infestation these days. Someone should probably be keeping an eye on these things -and probably an eye on me, too. Before I blow up another building...or three.

It is .. it's funny and fast paced

Sure there are moments but overall this series was funny (I laughed out loud), fast paced and interesting. There are parts that have a mystery to them. I can tell how much I like a book of this length by how quickly I want to return to listening. I only knock the performance because of the 1st versus 3rd book character voices (he misses a bit on the accents).

Yup .. I am going for the next books in the series.

Just not for me

I love this narrator, but this was just not for me. Just couldn't get into the story. Can't either recommend or dis-recommend.

Bad

Wow. I barely got through 2 hours of listening. I was enjoying the narration and the world-building and ignoring some of the details that annoyed me because I wanted to give this book a chance. I ignored the arrogant main character and some minor inconsistencies. But I could not ignore the descriptions of females. Every, Single. Female is sexualized. Their characters are coming down to the size of their breasts, weight and desire to please. Seriously? I can't. It's bad. I really wish I could return this book.
