When Laura Fry returns to her childhood home to care for her invalid mother, she hopes the writer’s block that has swallowed her writing career will disappear. She doesn’t plan on turning into a “yard girl” but her mother’s long neglected lawn beckons her to return it to the lush and colorful display it had been before her mother’s accident. She also doesn’t plan on making friends with the “nympho lesbian” next door but she finds it impossible not to watch the parade of playmates the neighbor brings to her pool.
Cassidy Anderson likes pool parties and female company. And while the pool remains the same, the female company changes nearly every weekend. As her mid-40s approach at an alarming speed, she’s still searching for the love of her life. As she finds herself seeking out the company of the cute tomboy next door, she starts to realize that she’s been looking in all the wrong places. Could it possibly be the neighbor who holds the key to her heart?

super cute.
despite the premise, this story ended up being super cute. I loved it a lot. (though I do wish we got to meet C's family

Favorite lesbian Author
The best part of #audible1 is being able to get new Gerri Hill books as soon as they are released. Just a very good lesbian author in a genre were there are many books of fluff and no content!!!

Soft and Cute but also pretty hot
I was a bit insecure about this one because of the summary but JEZZ take that leap of faith and get this one. So nice and well developed mature couple, how they nourish a friendship and cut-off toxicity of their life. A millennial goals romance kind of thing. 10 stars out of 5.

Loved It!
'The Neighbor' by Gerri Hill is the story of Laura Fry, an unemployed writer with a horrible case of writer's block who goes to live with her invalid mother to help care for her, and Cassidy Anderson, a successful businesswoman who has built a vacation home complete with an in ground pool just behind Laura and her mother. Cassidy has parties almost every weekend and each weekend brings new "friends" to her house. All of these parties and women make Laura think of her as the "nympho lesbian" neighbor, but is she really? Or is Cassidy just searching in the wrong places for a soulmate? And will she find that soulmate at her parties or maybe at the neighbor's house?
Gerri Hill is one of my favorite authors and she has created another winning love story with 'The Neighbor'. I read this story through the Audible version and really enjoyed the spoken story. Nicol Zanzarella is the narrator, and she did an excellent job narrating the story. I smiled all the way through the reading. The story is cute, romantic, funny and just plain heartwarming. I highly recommend this book in whatever format you prefer to read.
