Different story, but got into it

The story itself is different, and it took a bit to get into it. I think that’s because I wasn’t a big fan of the narration in book 1. But Bronson’s narration got better through each subsequent book. That was probably my biggest hangup. I think I would have enjoyed it more with a different narrator. Not that he’s not good, but just an odd fit and a bit lifeless when things kicked off. Worth a read though (or a listen) if you buy the set as one. It kept me going continuously.

OK

I finished the first book, but that is as far as I got. It may have been better from there, but I personally did not enjoy the book, as far as science fiction goes, I just couldn't bring myself to believe the events in this story could play out as they did, although some of the concepts were good. I may be a little picky as far as science fiction goes, but this book just was not for me personally.

Seriously?

B movie scientists with no knowledge of proper biohazard precautions, poor judgement, no awareness of obvious consequences, and even equipped with the facts, take no action to avoid likely results. So many annoying and poorly motivated actions. Leaders do not lead, they just push forward out of fear, jealousy, or blind rage. I just listened because it was free, but now wish I'd just taken many naps.

Enjoyable bool set.

Well balanced and paced story. I really enjoyed Alexia who half the time sounded like Dr Evil with the characters inflections. Giving me a good laugh. Good balance between good and evil with enough mystery to keep you engaged. Best was the ending didnt feel rushed.

It's okay.

This series began well and it's not bad considering the deal. However, Orbs seems to have lost its oomph about 2/3 of the way through and I found myself just sort of listening during this time. As for Bronson Pinchot, he is great when it comes to voice acting the actual characters but when he is simply narrating the story he is kind of a bore. In any event, if you are looking for a deal on a series that is interesting (for the most part), Orbs is an okay listen.
