About this listen
When a mysterious invisible barrier appears on a Montana ranch, no one knows what to think of it.
Drake, a retired police detective, receives a call in the dead of night from an alien-obsessed podcaster. He hastily departs for Montana the following morning.
The phenomenon continues all over the globe. What are they? What do they mean?
Britt is on assignment for a digital magazine when she encounters one of the Glass in a tragic boating accident, leaving her no choice but to follow the lead. Panic ensues as mysterious creatures are sighted.
Will has never left the relative safety of his small town, having begun to accept a life he doesn’t want. Now he must venture into the unknown with the girl of his dreams.
The Glass seem innocuous, until they start to glow…
Ransom, a washed-up Broadway actor and single father, tends bar in the Upper West Side. His daughter shares his knack for knowing things, and they head west as their intuition guides them to the source.
Together they must discover the truth behind the Glass, or risk losing their world forever.

Great book
I love the narrator, I’ve read most of the books he’s performed.
Good story, can’t wait to read the next in the series

Pretty good
This book was reminiscent of a lot of other individual sci-fi books/shows, but together in one book. It was a good story, and kept my interest. There were 2 male characters that I could not keep straight through the whole book! The narrator was a bit stiff or robotic, but it was fine. Just wish the narrator had used somewhat different voices for each character to make it more clear who is who & who is talking.

Amazing story telling
I really enjoyed this. From aliens, to shifty people screwing others, to gates into other dimensions, this book has it all. And does it very entertaining without giving up too much and you wanting to know more after every chapter.
Preordered book 2.
I only have one challenge with this and I'm thinking others will find the same...
RC Bray is one of my favourite voice actors and does a really great job (in general). However, the book jumps from character to character and sometimes I had a challenge remembering who was who and how they fit in the story because the male characters sounded very similar and if I didn't pay attention for a minute, I had to rewind to figure out who & what was being talked about.
Please note that I'm not bashing RC Bray by any means (I'd listen to him read anything), and this is my problem as I tend to listen to audio books while doing chores around the house and sometimes I do not pay enough attention.
Just stood out to me with this audiobook that I sometimes lost who what character was.....
anyway, go get it!

I tired i really tried - bad
Just how the story goes, its bad, the slow moving pace puts me to sleep in not a good way. Even RC bray can't save this one.
