About this listen
It started with a revolution nobody had even realized occurred....
Its cruelty sparked a rebellion that everyone refused to admit existed....
Now, the Machine - a terrifying and relentless enemy - reigns supreme in the galaxy, and the real fight is just beginning.
Omega Force keenly feels the weight of responsibility for the Machine's arrival in the quadrant, but even with the resources of the Blazing Sun organized crime syndicate backing them, there's only so much the small mercenary crew can do against the malevolent AI that has already usurped control of most of the government.
With the Machine now firmly in control of the ConFed's military, they are out of time and out of options. Captain Jason Burke knows that along with the Machine, something else came back from the outer regions...something he's kept a secret from everybody, even his own crew. He knows that he likely has the power to stop the Machine in its tracks, but it means unleashing an equally uncontrollable force. As he struggles to know what the right thing to do is, he can't help but fear that the cure could very well be worse than the disease.
The Pandora Paradox is the 12th installment of the best-selling Omega Force series.

Aliens exist...and, as it turns out, most of them aren’t that friendly. Jacob Brown wasn’t even born yet the first time they attacked Earth. He was only 14 the second time it happened. When Earth finally came together and fielded its first spaceborne military, Jacob didn’t hesitate to volunteer. Serving aboard a mighty starship, he’d be able to defend his planet - and his family - when, inevitably, they came again.

Story
In the 25th century, humans have conquered space. The advent of faster-than-light travel has opened up hundreds of habitable planets for colonization, and humans have exploited the virtually limitless space and resources for hundreds of years with impunity. So complacent have they become with the overabundance that armed conflict is a thing of the past, and their machines of war are obsolete and decrepit. What would happen if they were suddenly threatened by a terrifying new enemy?

Ex-Army paratrooper Griffin “Fin” Brooks thought he left danger behind when his battlefield injuries forced him to pursue a new career in marine biology. But one fateful night off the coast of South Africa, a ship nearly crashes into him and his loyal golden retriever, Jacques. Not just any ship. A starship. Captain Keyes is loved by the public but hated by Command. He captains the UHS Providence, an aging supercarrier and the last human ship not dependent on dark tech - technology humanity has used to rule over the galaxy since barely defeating the Ixa in the First Galactic War. Dominance has come at a cost. Over the decades, old allies have grown resentful, and when dark tech itself fails, Captain Keyes’ predictions start coming true: those old allies are now enemies.

not the best needs improvement
I have read or listened rather to the entire rest of the series in order prior to hearing this one and I have to say despite loving the rest of the series this book was an epic fail and I truly feel ripped off. I mean I paid the same price here for a 7 hour book that 1 3rd of was recap that I can get 20 plus hour book of the same genre from a different writer for.
on top of that every other book in the series has left us fulfilled by telling a complete story well adding in a few questions towards the greater continuing story in the back ground but at least there was some sort of pay off in the meantime. A tied up ending as it were this book gives you all questions no answers and no pay off at the end.
Hell it's not even a cliff hanger ending its more like he wrote a whole book tore it in half at any random point and just wants ys to pay double for one book. I mean the ending is just one of the worst points to leave a story off at. not because it leaves you excited and wanting more it's more like .... really that's it... that's all she wrote all right fuck this waste of time I'm out. At least that's how I felt. if tge books are going to continue to get shorter with such unfulfillibgcabd empty narratives I'm done with this series back to lost starship and the lost fleet for me
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
