So thankful for this book of blessings!
I love Jodi Carlisle's voice. Whether she is a Christian or not, she brings the Bible -and Joyce Meyer's words- alive! I find Jodi's voice soothing and comforting to listen to. Her narration is so on point, her voice sound like she believes 100% in what she's reading.
And Joyce giving us 365 reasons to be thankful is something I really need to hear.. especially during covid. Joyce never pretends her listeners/readers have rosy lives; but shows us how we can still find something each day to be grateful for. I actually look forward to listening to my day's reading. Each day is less than 5 minutes long, so you don't have to invest much time if your day is busy.
I wished Jodi narrated all of Joyce's books as I'd buy them all. Joyce's daughter also narrates other books, but she sounds boring and is hard to understand what she's saying (thick accent)... so I avoid those audiobooks (sorry).
Yes, each devotion is Bible-based (for those who haven't read any of Meyer's books before). I wholly recommend this book, this author, and this narrator! And I will be listening to this next year as well. I am so thankful for this audiobook.
