About this listen
Acclaimed, best-selling author Lori Wick’s The Proposal is a moving tale of Christ’s love at work in early 19th-century London. William Jennings is not married and likes it that way. But when a relative passes away, he is suddenly guardian of three young children. This unexpected development provides him a male heir without the bother of a wife, yet the children quickly become more than he can handle. Finding help from a truly remarkable woman, he learns to see the world in a completely different light.

Lori Wick never disappoints
As always, Lori Wick delivers a beautiful, clean, and lovely story.
The narrator is talented and delivers nice voices for different characters. But she makes a lot of mouth sounds. Like she is swallowing something or her mouth is dry. It drove me insane. And for that reason I won’t listen to the other books of this series.

Perfect balance of heart-warming and what’s-gonna-happen
This is the sweetest story I’ve read in a long time with beautiful characters who face real problems without drama and hysteria and solve their problems through actual dialogue and reason. The relationships that form between the children and adults throughout the story are just as catching as the budding romance and although there’s no thrilling danger or dramatic action it is a page turner that is almost impossible to put down. What a lovely feel-good story with strong biblical values and lessons portrayed through it all. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a clean, captivating story suitable for almost any age.
