About this listen
During a train trip from Chicago to Texas in the late 1940s, A.W. Tozer began to write The Pursuit of God. He wrote all night, and when the train arrived at his destination, the rough draft was done. The depth of this book has made it an enduring favorite.

A Blessing
A written and narrated word that describes what i have found, said in such a way as to spur one on, fanning the flame into "burning zeal"! The very intimation of the Lord drawing near unto me, and now understanding that He is always seeking to reveal Himself to me has my heart all flutter with excited anticipation, looking for Him at every moment, around every proverbial corner!! If only i could have known this, His person, experientially, sooner! And i pray that all His children come to know Him in this manner or greater still! Praise the Lord!!

Disappointed
Please beware that this author speaks against the Roman Catholic Church. He goes so far as to say that Catholicism is a heresy! He also stated that the Sacraments have no special meaning! I was very disappointed. I probably won't read anything by A.W. Tozer again. I converted to Catholicism in 2005 and since then my relationship with the Lord has grown in leaps and bounds. I love God with all my heart and I experience His love for me daily. I am so incredibly thankful for Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for my sins and His resurrection which gives me hope that I too will be resurrected at the end of time. If it were not for the Catholic Church and it's teachings, I would not understand nor experience the personal relationship that we can have with our Lord and Saviour. There were some good thoughts in this book but the author's rejection of Catholicism really spoiled it for me.
