About this listen
In the sixth book of the Anaconda series, 10 years have passed since the 23rd-century asteroid mining ship Anaconda mysteriously appeared 400 years in the past. Aided by a library containing a detailed history of Earth’s people and natural resources, along with millions of tons of processed ore and advanced 3-D printing factories, the crew has split into factions bent on creating utopian societies on the planet they call New Earth.
Two space engineers have created a native army of liberation and driven Europeans from North America. Two other crew members have made an alliance with the Ottoman sultan and developed a modern consumer economy in the Mediterranean, leapfrogging the age of sail and steam. The cadets, twin sister assassins with enhanced capabilities, have quit the Space Force and become free agents, ending the African slave trade on a whim.
The Anaconda’s fusion furnace engineer has become a mythical hero known as the Bird Woman. She travels the world building medical clinics and utility projects for native villages, but her popular moral code has attracted the attention of a strange man with immense power. Meanwhile, a giant comet hangs over the planet and a series of earthquakes threaten to reverse the flow of the mighty Mississippi.
