I love that in her books even if there's a misunderstanding or it's an enemies to lovers situation, each person has a little imperfections and there's little things about each person that draws it attracts the other. and even if there is some sort of miscommunication or disagreement it doesn't usually last long and they can admit that they like each other and try to work together or work to get back to each other. I also appreciate that in Ms Hoyt's books the bad guys don't get off the hook.
The attraction and steam between these two is so good!
Miss Hoyt doesn't shy away from some of the darker aspects of society at the time and fate of women and children. this book is a bit lighter than the Maiden Lane series.
