The case was interesting, and the solution was a bit unexpected, with a final grim reveal at the end.
I like the introduction of the niece, who provides some comic relief, but I hate "perma-scowl." I feel like there has to have been a better translation than that stupid, cutesy, oft-repeated term.
But yeah, a pretty decent mystery.
