Publisher's Summary
When a dream trip becomes your worst nightmare...
You’ve been excited about this getaway for months–at last, a chance to reconnect with your husband at a secluded island resort. But when he unexpectedly calls you from the beach, you hear the urgency in his voice. Something is very wrong.
The beautiful waitress from the restaurant last night has been found lying dead in the sand. And the police want to question your husband about it.
Sure, you saw him glance at her over dinner a few times, but you know he didn’t have anything to do with the poor girl’s death. So why is he asking you to lie to the police that he was with you all night? And where did he go in those missing hours?
When he returns to your beautiful sea-view suite, things get heated and he accuses you of being jealous, just like he always does. Yes, the waitress was overly flirtatious with your husband, but you didn’t actually wish her any harm. Not really.
Can you trust the man you married...or are you the one who can’t be trusted?
Perfect for fans of Gone Girl, The Hunting Party, and The Girl on the Train.

It’s hard meeting your ex after so much time apart. You remember the tears and accusations, the desperate look on his face as he punched the wall, but you try not to show it. You smile politely, even while your heart beats faster. The white-washed Italian villa is perfect. I thought it might feel odd, living in a stranger’s house for the summer, but as my husband and children swim in the infinity pool, I start to relax. And then, in the back of a wardrobe, I find something that shatters everything.... Sparkling green eyes, square jaw, lopsided smile. A young man with his arm around a beautiful woman. The picture is old and faded, but I’d recognize him anywhere. The man is my husband.

Good Thriller with Flawed Characters
I am still 2/3 in and honestly, while a good thriller trying to guess who dunnit...many of the characters are flawed which make the story interesting but one character in particular makes me cringe...Sam...when you read this book, you will know what I am talking about. At times, you just want to be the girlfriend that sits down and have the talk with her about self-love and self-world...it's so frustrating to hear how she lets her husband treat her...

A bit of a snoozer
Has a twist at the end, but it’s kind of lame. Okay story, but just didn’t captivate me. The relationship between the three women kind of droned on and on without much happening. My mind would wander, but when I would rewind it, I realized I didn’t miss anything. Too much repetition, and going over and over the same thing.
Spoiler: the author tried to wrap it up with a big twist at the end, but it just didn’t land because Sam who accosted the server with such vengeance and violence, seems so out of character. And then just a couple of days later, she decides to divorce her husband after begging the server to leave her husband alone? Whaaat?

not a fan.
While I'll admit that the story did keep me guessing for a large portion of the book, I was still able to figure out the ending a few chapters before it was revealed. Ultimately, I found all the characters annoying and unlikable, and was unable to feel invested in caring about any of them. Many parts of the story were very far-fetched, taking away from any believability. By the time it was all revealed, I just wanted it to be over.
