Publisher's Summary

As Alexandra Winslow climbs the ladder of publishing success, she resolutely adheres to her father's caution: men only read crime thrillers written by men.

She publishes under the pseudonym of brilliantly successful Alexander Green, her true identity known only to those closest to her. This creates an isolating double life, but the right time to open up always seems just out of reach and the price of the truth always too high....

Solid 10

After writing so many novels, one would think that Danielle Steel couldn’t find a new storyline but she’s done it again.

Excellent read that was hard to put down. I do wish though that the ending had been different.

Now on to the next one. 💜

3.5 ☆ is all I can give this book.

Although I did finish this book, the amount of repetition in it had me almost walk away a few times! It felt like she needed to have a certain number of pages and she was falling short so she went back and added info. The same dang info, over and over and over and over again! How did an editor not pick up on this and correct it!!??

I thought it had a good storyline and as always, DS had really great characters that were easy to root for.

Extraordinarily Boring - Not for me

I got this book after it was offered as a Daily Deal. I have read Romances before and they're adequately entertaining. Danielle Steel has an extensive readership and pretty solid fan base..so I took a chance.
Misfire.
I actually almost couldn't finish this book, but kept reading waiting for something to happen. Mistake.
All that happened was an exposition on a moderately-interesting character detailing her upbringing, professional development, losses, and love life. It's a decent fictional biography and nothing else. SMH.

Victor Bevine does a decent job - and is the best thing about this recording. He uses accents a lot, however..which can turn out disastrous in these audiobooks. A gutsy move.. I guess. His are pretty clichéd, but subtle and accurate.

Romance novels like this aren't for me. This is worth 1.5 stars out of 10 for a non-fanatic. Try some Nora Roberts
