With a massive downpour and flash floods predicted, Quinn Durand leaves work and races for the safety of home. The first drops start to fall as she spots something strange on the familiar bush route. With no reception and nothing but an empty road for miles in either direction, she investigates and discovers it’s a body, dumped by the side of the road. Fast moving Aussie backpacker thriller

Four backpackers travel to the Australian Outback for adventure. Deluged by an unexpected violent rainstorm during a news-making drought, and trapped by flooding, the travellers soon lose each other -- and their nightmare begins. The Rush is a fast moving multi-twist thriller with loads of ambiance that kept me on the edge of my seat. Michelle Prak has written a gripping Outback adventure that will stay in my memory for a long time. Jodie Harris as narrator delivers the text and all the voices beautifully. She handles the nuances of regional dialects and of foreign languages adroitly. I'll be watching for both author and vocalist in the future.
